Cold/Friction Saws

Thermatool offers a a range of both flying cold and friction saws to meet your tube and pipe cutting requirements.

Thermatool Flying Cold Saws provide a near burr-free cut.  Both single and multiple head designs are available for either small or large product, or product which is reshaped into squares or rectangles.  Blade surface speed is adjustable over a 5:1 speed range to encompass optimal cutting speeds for high speed steel or carbide blades.

Flying Friction Saws can be provided for a very fast cutting cycle where end conditions are not critical or secondary end finishing is to be done anyway.  An AC motor drives the saw blade at a maximum surface speed of 450 feet per second (137 M/sec).
