Thermatool provides a complete range of solid state equipment for inline heating of pipe and tube.
Typical applications include heating of tube prior to galvanizing and annealing of refrigeration tube, inline on the mill at speeds in excess of 500 FPM (153 MPM). Heating inverters for inline galvanizing or coating are generally solid state, medium frequency (10 kHz) units. Heating installations for annealing small diameter tubing (e.g. refrigeration or automobile brake line tubing) use the same inverters as tube welders and operate at frequencies in the order of 150 kHz. For small diameter tubes the inverters for both welding and heating would employ the same technology and would use components which are interchangeable, thus reducing spare parts inventory.
Thermatool’s ability to provide precise induction heating allows post processing applications such as bending operations ranging from smaller diameters to very thick wall large diameter pipe. Please contact Thermatool Corp. to find out more about implementing induction heating equipment, or a complete heating and bending system.
Standard Power Ratings: 50 kW - 1000 kW @ 150 Hz - 3 kHz (each)
