HAZ Control Technology takes what the tube maker already knows "works" and "doesn't work" and combines it with scientific knowledge that shortens weld area changeovers, quickly develops new mill setups, and achieves faster mill speeds.

HAZ Control makes possible on-line production monitoring that helps mill operators achieve the end customer's quality standards.

"Heat Affected Zone" or HAZ Control Technology is a first step towards directly controlling the pipe or tube seam weld's metallurgical properties.

This technology provides a different approach from the current practice of focusing on the parameters that create the
weld - mill speed, welding power level, welding frequency, and so on.
