Where necessary, to achieve extended time at temperature to assure complete solution of chromium carbides ThermaTunnels
– electric resistance – heated, barrel furnaces are placed between the induction coils and quench system (see photo at left). |

For longer cooling times, an offline, chain driven cooling bed can be provided which rotates the tubes as they cool. A slotted ring quench after complete solution treating provides very rapid, uniform heat extraction and superior straightness.
